Previously known as Captain Kirk’s, our watersports school has over 15 years experience of kiteboarding instruction for all levels. All our instructors are certified. We follow IKO teaching methodology, safety and quality standards. Our IKO certified instructors use beach-quads, jet-ski and radio helmets to help you learn quickly and safely.
Anyone can learn
La Ventana’s conditions are great for beginners, with warm water and consistent winds. If you are already an advanced rider, there’s always something to learn! Our instructors will teach you the basics, help you execute your first jump, add height to your boosts, show you jumping transitions, start your first back rolls, down loops, kite loops and get you gliding on a hydrofoil.

Why La Ventana?
La Ventana’s unique location between the Cacachilas mountains and the offshore Island of El Cerralvo creates a venturi, accelerating the thermal wind as the desert to the south heats up. So when the sun is out (almost every day here in sunny Mexico) it creates a consistent wind from fall through to spring, often much stronger than the forecasts indicate. As a rule of thumb, if the forecast is calling for a hot and sunny day, add 5-10mph to the forecasted wind to get a more accurate reading.

- $75/day for Kite foiling or Winging (complete with mast, wings & straps)
